For A Beautifully Lit Space

Founded in the 1960s, Artemide is one of the most known illumination brands in the world. Known for its "The Human Light" philosophy.

The Artemide Lamps are considered on an international level as Design Icons of contemporary design; they are exhibited in most museums of modern art and design collections.

Today the Artemide collections convey a unique mix of values: the approach to human and responsible light goes hand in hand with design and material savoir faire, combining next-generation technology with ancient wisdoms, a perfect expression of sustainable design.

I loved the lamp, as it's design is a rare mix of sheer design beauty and functionality. The light given off by the lamp can be glaring, which is why the transformer has two settings (low/high). It took me a while (about 5 years), but I found out that these lamps are equally great at giving light not only as a 'Task Lamp' (i.e. shining down on your desk), but also as an indirect light source (by turning the head so that it illuminates towards the ceiling).
